Yes, the 17th of July was World Emoji Day - and important celebration of the benevolent omnipresence of the smiling pictogram. University social media bods rose to the occasion with a range of hilarious responses. The University of Limerick responded with typical cheeky brilliance in this tweet. We celebrated by giving one of our founders, Nik, a much-needed facelift. However, laughs aside, there’s more to the poo-with-face or hair-flick-girl than you might think.
